Giulia Piccari is an Italian photographer with a passion for storytelling through images.
She studied photography in London and continued her education in Rome for three years. After winning a prestigious photography competition, Giulia moved to New York City, where she spent seven years working as a photojournalist for runway shows, red carpets, movie sets, and exclusive private events.
In 2011, Giulia opened ON_MY_WAY, her first solo exhibition in the Big Apple, dedicating it to her beloved grandfather.
Since when she moved to Naples, FL, she has been photographing private events, birthday parties, summer camps, music concerts, and family portraits. She also collaborates with Uniquely You!, a Southwest Florida magazine dedicated to celebrating individuals with special needs.
Her new personal photo project, 30 YEARS FROM NOW, is a heartfelt journey through memory and legacy. In it, she asks random parents around Naples what memory they would like to leave to their children thirty years. Her dream is to collect 150 of these intimate stories and publish them in a book.
Through this project, she shows that “everyone has a story to tell, and if you take the time to sit and listen. You can discover just how beautiful human beings are.”
